to the national rifle association? wayne lapierre testified last month that his organization represents some 4.5 million americans. the "washington post" fact checker took a look at that claim and give it one pinocchio. it took a look at the membership through how many people receive the magazine through subscription numbers, because people get free magazines from the nra, and the number is closer to 3.1 million, a very small percentage of the 70 million americans who say they own a gun. we're back after the break.
